The bottle release party for Hoover’s Revenge: Ragged Mountain Rye will be Saturday, December 16 from 3-6 pm at Marble Distilling in Carbondale.
This initial single cask release, no more than 200 bottles, will be hand-signed by head distiller and co-founder, Connie Baker. Benefiting Roaring Fork Conservancy, the first bottle will be a silent auction item that includes a two-night stay at The Distillery Inn, a private tour and tasting with Baker and Marble giveaways. Live music and whiskey donuts from Sweet Coloradough will round out the release party.
“Hoover’s Revenge is in memory of our distillery dog, Hoover,” said Baker. “Ragged Mountain Rye is Marble Distilling’s proprietary blend of rye finished with soft white wheat and malted barley.”
Sourcing most of its grains from a local ranch less than one mile from the distillery, Marble sends its stillage back to the ranch for livestock feed and compost. In the future, Baker will release Fightin’ Whiskey and Backcountry Bourbon, which are fermented in open cyprus tanks and copper-pot distilled as well.
